How to create a 3D photo effect.

Step 1: Find a suitable photograph from which to create this effect. Some tips when picking a photograph include a distinguishable background and an area within the photograph that extrudes beyond the normal outline of the photo. In my example, the dog’s leg makes this photograph a perfect candidate for this technique. Note, that this photograph is image #0520011 from Photospin.com. Creating a RSS Icon in Illustrator

This tutorial covers the process of creating your own customised vector RSS icon in Illustrator. Since it is in vector format, its size can be scaled up and down for future use.

The diagram given below shows the structure of the elements that makes up the icon. Illustrator works in layers. Multiple objects can also be stacked on top of one another within a single layer. By using ‘CTRL/CMD + [‘ and ‘CTRL/CMD + ]’ you can alter the stacking order of a selected object. Not only that, by pressing ‘CTRL/CMD + SHIFT + [‘ and ‘CTRL/CMD + SHIFT + ]’ you can send an object to the bottom and top of the stack respectively.

How to Create A Glass Effect.

1: Creating The Block Area That Is To Be A Glass Shard

  • 1.1. Locate whatever will be the background for your glass area.
  • 1.2. Duplicate this area (CTRL + J).
  • 1.3. Erase what you don’t need from this dupilcated layer, leaving only the area that is to be a glass block.
  • 1.4. Image 2 is an example of this. I’ve erased so that the corners are rounded, and hidden the background so that you can see it properly.

Electric Plasma Gel

Step 1 – Setting Up the Document

The first few steps are very similar to that of Organic Raw Flesh. Create a new image 400×400 with a transparent background. Fill “Layer 1” with black ( Hex #000000 ). Create a new layer and rename it “Stripes 1”.

Change the Foreground Color to Red (#FF0000)

Click on the Gradient Tool and use the following setting shown in the image to the right.
